A little about us!
Maple Hills Sierra is now retired and living the life of luxury on a farm in Silverdale.
Maple Hills was established in
1998 when we adopted a beautiful blue merle mini aussie that we named Sierra.
Maple Hills Sierra was so much fun and gave us so much joy that we fell in love with this breed right
from the start. We soon learned how eager to please and how smart this breed was and
made a decision to get much more involved in the breed.
Maple Hills is located on the Key
Peninsula in Gig Harbor, Washington. The Peninsula is a beautiful area with a lot
of open undeveloped land. There are alot of beautiful trees, wildlife and the Peninsula is surrounded by the bay. It is a gorgeous place to live, with beautiful sunsets, beautiful mountain views, fresh air and all the peace and serenity you could ever ask for. We love it here!
Since Sierra, there have been many changes here at Maple Hills. We have added some new faces to our breeding program. We have taken time and carefully picked aussies with exceptional personalities and temperaments that would compliment one another. We commit ourselves to keeping our kennel small so we can give our dogs lot of attention and good care.
Our kennels are large and sit on 3 acres of land, just for our dogs. They are heated in the winter and keep cool in the summer.
Our property is on a slight hill and has some beautiful maple trees on it. That is how we came up with the name Maple Hills.
Our aussies share our property with some other friends too!
Our dogs are indoor/outdoor dogs. They get the best of both worlds. They enjoy coming inside, sleeping with us, watching tv with us and they enjoy going outside to run and play together in our large aussie run. Our dogs are kenneled when we are not home for their safety, if they don't go with us that is.
All Maple Hills aussies are registered with the
NSDR (National Stock Dog Registry.
All Maple Hills breeding aussies are CERF cleared and OFA rated.
